The Dalyan delta is an area of immense naturel beauty and has become one of Turkey's most treasured natural conversation areas. Dalyan flanked by imposing mountains and pine-clad hills. The river spreads out into tributaries,teeming with the local wildlife, a naturalist's paradise. Iztuzu Beach, home to the famous loggerhead (caretta caretta) turtles in Dalyan.

Surrounded by undulating hills, punctuated by rocky crags and outbreaks of fir trees, this is a wildlife paradise. Marsh frogs, stripe-necked terrapins and lizards scurry for cover as your craft glides by the Lycian of channels leading to the five five-mile sandbar of "IZTUZU" beach in DALYAN.

Across to the beach is by water taxi (co-operative boats) "45 minutes" from Dalyan. at one point you pass through a fish weir, which restricts the passage of carp and mullet. two elderly guys sit there all day, crankin the netted barrier up and down by hand to let the vessels through.

The beach separates to the delta from sea, so you can swim in both fresh and seawater. Whichever you prefer arm yourself with plenty of sun cream. The only shade is at either end of the beach where there are sun-loungers and limited facilities. Also you can tasty snack prepared by local women in beach side food shacks.Second way; to going to beach with dolmus(midi-bus) about 12 km. You can find same facilities this side of beach. The last dolmus back to Dalyan leaves promptly at 6pm.Any body can not stay on the beach night time.Because same time Dalyan Iztuzu Beach to protect the secret turtle's eggs.
